1 · Hero About Generation Web

Community-first.
AI-forward.

Who we are, why we do this work, and the people you'll actually work with.

2 · Our Story How we got here

We started as a web shop. We're becoming something more deliberate.

[Origin paragraph — when Generation Web started, who started it, what kind of work we did at the beginning, and the kinds of clients who shaped us. Keep it honest, not corporate.]

[Middle paragraph — the patterns we kept seeing. Community foundations needed software built for the way they actually work. Businesses needed help being found in AI surfaces, not just Google. Both of those needs deserved real focus, not a side hustle.]

[Forward paragraph — what we're sharpening into. Two pillars: AI & GEO for commercial clients who need to be the answer AI gives, and Community Fundraising tools for the foundations and mission-driven organizations funding stronger places. One company, two clear reasons to exist.]

Story copy needs Nick + Adam to write together. The shape is right; the voice should be theirs.
3 · What We Stand For

Four things we keep coming back to.

Value 1

Build for community impact.

Half our work funds local impact through community foundations. The other half should still leave the internet measurably better than we found it.

Value 2

Make work findable.

Good work that can't be found is wasted work. We build every site to be cited — by humans, search engines, and AI.

Value 3

Partner, don't transact.

Our best client relationships are years long, not project long. We optimize for the next decade, not the next invoice.

Value 4

Ship things that stay shipped.

It's easier to ship something flashy than something durable. We build for the year-three version of the site, not just the launch screenshot.

4 · How We Work

Dedicated team. Direct relationships. Real ownership.

You don't get an account manager who relays messages to the people doing the work. You get the people doing the work.

Async-friendly

Most of our work happens in shared docs, async video, and a single Slack channel per project. Meetings are a tool, not a default.

AI-augmented

We use AI tools (including the ones we sell expertise in) to move faster and deeper. Same team, higher leverage, no quality compromise.

Honest scope

We tell you when you don't need what you're asking for, and what would actually move the needle instead. Including saying no when we're not the right fit.

5 · Looking Ahead Where we're going

Two pillars. One company.

Commercial pillar

AI & GEO expertise.

Deepening our practice around Generative Engine Optimization, schema, and the structural work that makes content quotable by AI.
